KEPARIWISATAAN

Teori kepariwisataan menurut 3 orang ahli yang berbeda adalah sebagai berikut :

1. Menurut A. J. Burkart dan S. Medlik, pariwisata berarti perpindahan orang untuk sementara (dan) dalam jangka waktu pendek ke tujuan-tujuan di luar tempat dimana mereka biasanya hidup dan bekerja, dan kegiatan-kegiatan mereka selama tinggal di tempat-tempat tujuan tersebut. (Soekadijo, 2000:3)

2. Menurut Prof. Hunzikier dan Prof. K. Krapf, pariwisata dapat didefinisikan sebagai keseluruhan jaringan dan gejala-gejala yang berkaitan dengan tinggalnya orang asing di suatu tempat, dengan syarat bahwa mereka tidak tinggal disitu untuk melakukan suatu pekerjaan yang penting yang memberikan keuntungan yang bersifat permanen maupun sementara. (Soekadijo, 2000:12)

3. Menurut World Tourism Organization (WTO) pariwisata adalah kegiatan seseorang yang berpergian ke atau tinggal di suatu tempat di luar lingkunganya yang biasa dalam waktu tidak lebih dari satu tahun secara terus-menerus, untuk kesenangan, bisnis, ataupun tujuan lainya. (Kaseke, 1999)

Jadi, menurut saya pariwisata adalah kegiatan seseorang yang berpergian ke suatu tempat untuk melakukan suatu kegiatan bisnis, pekerjaan, liburan dalam jangka waktu yang tidak menentu dan tidak menetap atau permanen.

BEST PLACE I’VE EVER BEEN TO :

UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE

Universal Studios Singapore (USS) is a theme park located within Resorts World Sentosa on Sentosa Island, Singapore. It was a key component of Genting’s bid for the right to build Singapore’s second integrated resort. USS is 20 hectares with total 24 attractions. The park consist of seven themed zones, such as Hollywood, New York, Sci-Fi City, Ancient Egypt, The Lost World, Far Far Away, and Madagascar. USS has over 30 restaurants and food carts, together with 20 unique retail stores located around the park. Last time in November 1, 2014 I went to USS for the first time with my boyfriend and his sister. Actually, I visited Singapore is not for holiday but for visited my boyfriend’s Grandpa who hospitalized at Mount Elizabeth Hospital Singapore, so when me and my boyfriend had free time in there we decided went to USS along with his sister. We purchased the tickets for $74/person included with meals and souvenir vouchers. I think the tickets are quite pricey but it was totally worth it. Before we entered USS there is a big globe statue written “UNIVERSAL” on it and there are so many people queued to took pictures at there.

 

When first we entered the park, Hollywood is the main entrance area of the park. Its only attraction broadway-style theatre, is accompanied by several restaurants and a variety of flagship shops. We are so amazed by the dynamic architecture. At Hollywood zone there is Pantages Hollywood Theatre it shows live performance about Sesame Street: When I Grow Up. Me and my boyfriend and his sister went inside the theatre to watch the live performance. There are 1,500-seat indoor Broadway-style theatre that is fully equipped to host plays, musicals and performances. People who entered the theatre to watch the live performance is mostly kids and toddlers since it shows about Sesame Street live performance. The live performance showed about 15 minutes and we are really enjoyed the show. After the show finished we went outside the theatre again and bought some snacks at food cart. There are so many kind of foods and snacks at there.

After we bought some snacks we went to Sci-Fi City zone. We entered Transformers: The Ride 4-D Dark Ride Motion Simulator. The queue is super long too many people queue for this attraction so we ended queued too long for about 15 minutes. After 15 minutes passed we finally can ride the attraction vehicle. It has giant wrap-around screens that sport photo-realistic 3D-HD video imagery at various points throughout the ride, and has additional 4-D effects such as water spray, wind, hot air, fog, etc.). We really had so much fun, the 4D video looks really real. When we went out from the attraction and went to exit door, we welcomed by the store which selling the Transformers merchandises such as mug, t-shirt, neck rest, keychain, umbrella, and so much more, they selling almost everything. We decided not to bought any of them because the merchandise it self is so pricey. Outside the building of Transformers attraction there is someone who wore Transformer’s outfit and styling like the real Transformer. Many people got attracted by that someone who wore the Transformer’s outfit and queued to get a photo with it.

After that we went to the next zone is Ancient Egypt, it features obelisks and pyramids which are typical of Ancient Egypt. Also there are lots of mummy statues at there and looks more creepy. At the Ancient Egypt zone we entered the attraction called Revenge of the Mummy Ride, it is a high-speed dark ride that sports sharp turns and fast reverse sections, built within a complex that is partially lighted. The attraction was so fun and made us very dizzy. Then after we ride the attraction we went to fourth zone is The Lost World, it contains many traditional attractions present in most Universal Studios parks around the world and is divided into two sub areas: Jurrasic Park and Waterworld. We didn't ride anything at that zone because the queued are too long for all the attractions. So we went straight to five zone is Far Far Away. Far Far Away is inspired by DreamWorks animation's hit Shrek franchise which depicted how the fairy-tale characters lived in daily-life. The zone consists of many recognizable locations from the film series, and the main highlight of the zone is the 40-metre tall Far Far Away Castle. We entered to Donkey Live Performance, An interactive live show using digital puppety technology, which features Donkey entertaining and engaging guests in conversation in an intimate theatre setting. After we watched the show we went to the last zone called Madagascar. The zone features lush tropical jungles as well as two rides. USS is such an amazing theme park that i've ever been to because there are so many animation, attraction, statue, etc that i've never seen before.

OPINI TENTANG PELANTIKAN PRESIDEN KE-7 JOKO WIDODO

Pada tanggal 20 Oktober 2014, Joko Widodo resmi dilantik sebagain Presiden Indonesia ke-7 di Gedung DPD/MPR, beserta Wakil Presiden Jusuf Kalla. Masyarakat mempunyai pendapat beragam terhadap Presiden ke-7 Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Tidak semua tanggapan yang diberikan untuk presiden baru itu bersifat positif, beberapa warga juga ada yang mengkritik cara kerja Jokowi. Kebanyakan dari masyarakat Indonesia mengatakan bahwa Jokowi adalah seorang pemimpin yang merakyat, sederhana, dan baik.
Melihat dari segi itu opini saya adalah, Jokowi memang seorang pemimpin yang sangat merakyat dan sangat perhatian sekali kepada masyarakatnya, beliau juga terlihat sangat sederhana sekali dan sangat baik dalam menghadapi segala sesuatu. Dalam melakukan atau mengatasi pekerjaan jokowi tidak pernah setengah-setengah beliau malah sering ikut turun langsung ke tempat kejadian tanpa menyuruh orang untuk mengatasinya. Dalam hal ini semoga Jokowi akan terus menjadi seorang pemimpin yang masyarakat Indonesia inginkan dan idamkan dan semoga Indonesia bisa lebih maju ditangan Presiden baru kita Joko Widodo.
