A place that I really would like to visit:
N
SEOUL TOWER
I
really love everything about South Korea, people, food, culture, place, etc and
i really want to visit South Korea one day, a place that I really would like to
visit is N Seoul Tower. N Seoul Tower,
is a communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central
Seoul, South Korea. It marks the highest point in Seoul. Seoul Tower was
completed on December 3, 1971, designed by architects jangjongryul, with not
inside the facility being equipped. By August 1975, the third floor of the
observatory room, museum, open hall, souvenir shop, in addition to other
facilities, were open. The tower was open to the public for the first time on
October 15, 1980. Since then, the tower has been a landmark of Seoul. It
measures 236.7m (777 ft) in height from base and top out at 479.7m (1,574 ft)
above sea level. It changed to its name to N Seoul tower in 2005. The “N”
stands for ‘new’, ‘Namsan’, and ‘nature’. When N Seoul Tower’s original owner
merged with CJ Corporation, it was renamed the N Seoul Tower . It has also been
known as the Namsan Seoul Tower. It also Korea’s first general radio wave tower
that holds transmission antennas of KBS, MBC, SBS TV, FM, PBC, TBS, CBS, and
BBS FM.
There
are two ways to get to N Seoul Tower, first is with cable car and second is
with bus. Access by taxi or or car are prohibited. Many visitors ride the Namsan
cable car up the Mt. Namsan to walk to the tower. It attracts thousands
tourists and locals every year, especially during nighttime when the tower
lights up. Photographers enjoy the panoramic view the tower offers. Visitors may go up the tower for a fee that
differs for the following groups: Children (Ages 4-12): 3,000 won / Teens and
Adults (Ages 13-64): 7,000won / Senior (Ages 65+): 5,000won. The N Seoul Tower
is divided into three parts, including the N Lobby, N Plaza, and the N Tower.
The N Plaza consist of two floors, while the N tower includes four floors. The
N lobby holds the N Gift, N Sweetbar, BH Style, the Alive Museum, Memshot,
Nursing Room, Information Booth, a Café, and entrance to observatory. N Plaza
has two floors. The first floor includes the ticket booth, N Terrace, N Gift
and a burger shop. The second floor houses the Place Dining, an Italian
restaurant, and the Roof Terrace where the “Locks of Love” can be found. I
really want to try “Locks of Love” because that place is really popular all
around the world, “Locks of Love” is a padlock which sweethearts lock to a
bridge, fence, gate, or similar public fixture to symbolize their love.
Typically the sweethearts’ names or initials are inscribed on the padlock, and
its key is thrown away to symbolize unbreakable love. The N Tower has four
floors: 1F, 2F, 3F, and 5F (most buildings in Korea avoids having fourth
floors). Most of the city of Seoul can be seen from the top.
The
tower offers a digital observatory with a 360 paranomic view that showcases
Korea’s history through 32 LCD screens. This is located on the third floor of
the N Tower. In 2008, the Teddy Bear Museum was open at the Tower, with a
7-metre Christmas tree made with 300 teddy bears to celebrate the opening. I also
really want to visit this Teddy Bear Museum too because there are lot of type
of Teddy Bear from all kind of types and that are so cute. The N Tower also holds many other
attractions, including the digital observatory and the Wishing Pond. The
Wishing Pond can be found on the second floor of the tower, where people throw
coins into the pond wishing for eternal love. The coins are collected and
donated to help develop school in China and Southeast Asia. On the third floor
the newly designed observatory, renovated in 2011, can be found. The
observatory not only offers the 360 view of the city, but also exhibits 600
years of Korean history through 36 LCD screens. The fifth floor houses a French
restaurant known as N Grill.
In
2012, surveys conducted by Seoul City revealed foreign tourists ranked the N
Seoul Tower as the number one tourist attraction. The N Seoul Tower is now also
a symbol of Seoul. Seoul Tower is used as a radio/television broadcast and
communications tower. Nowdays, in Indonesia there are so many people became a
Korean enthusiast. A lot of them really want to go to Seoul for so many
reasons. Seoul is a great place for people afraid of being murdered, raped, or
kidnapped as it has very low cases of these, especially for travelers. But
safety is more than statistics. You might be glad to heart that it also feels
very safe everywhere anytime in Seoul. If you have a fondness of getting wasted
by yourself in Korean drama fashion and walking the streets of Seoul late
night, you should still feel safe. Seoul has an interesting balance with it’s
ancient history and ultra modern development. Seoul was named a UNESCO City of
Design in 2010 and part of UNESCO’s Creative Cities Network. That’s all because
Seoul is on the cutting edge when it comes to design both the government and
individuallevels.
Design
and technology go hand-in hand, and Korea is also a world leader when it comes
to technology. Seoul has giant touch screens at major transportation hubs to
let you see Korea’s version of Google maps. Seoul is definitely a city that
comes to life at night. There are plenty of restaurants, gyms, bars, cafes,
entertainment options open past midnight. It seems like Korea is five years
ahead of the world in technology. At night, the streets never darken thanks to
the perpetually illuminated neon lights. Inside, nearly every room of every
building in Seoul has a giant Samsung TV screen mounted on the wall. Other
top-of-the-line Samsung & LG products like computers, cell phones,
printers, and air conditioners are seen everywhere. Samsung even produces a
brand of high-tech cars commonly seen on the streets of Seoul. But above all
else, the readily available and utterly fast Wi-Fi speeds are perharps the best
face of Korea’s tech-driven economy. In fact South Korea is renowned for being
the most connected country in the world.
